We reached the town of Jasper in the National Park in Alberta...lovely place.

The drives are gorgeous...less autumn colors as we get further south in BC. The distances are long too!

2 days on the ferry were enjoyable. We were anxious about our dog, Aray, who was in the car on the car deck for long periods of time. We could walk her at each of the 5 Ports of call: Juneau, Kake, Petersburg, Wrangell, Ketchikan, and of course in Haines where we boarded the ship, and in Prince Rupert where we ended the trip. During many of the stops it was pouring with rain, the ferry was late, so the walking stops were limited. Between Wrangell and P.R. th...

The ferry ride was rough during this part of the journey, and we were concerned about our dog, Aray, in the car on the car deck...and about Viv on the top bunk in our cabin!

It was beautiful along the Matanuska River. Spent night in Glennallen...no heat in restaurant and (35 F outside)!
