Hey!

I'm so behind with my blog entries, sorry all! Never enough time or energy to update, only just enough to upload my pics ;)

I only had about 3 weeks to get from Cairns to Sydney, and managed to fit almost everything in I wanted to do. Went to Cape Tribulation for a couple of days, the weather was poor but it didn't stop me going to the beach. Went with Geraldine and Trish, good fun (cant wait to meet up with you both in September). Did some diving at the Great Barrier Reef, the weather had been stormy and the vis wasn't good, dont know what it is everytime I organise a diving trip the weather turns poor! Had a bad experience but thats a story for another time lets just say it involved a bad nosebleed and sharks...sorry mum not as scary as it sounds!!

I bought a Greyhound ticket and from Cairns I moved onto Townsville and Magnetic Island. Stayed in the YHA Koala sanctuary, got to hug a koala yay oh and hold a python and baby croc, very adventurous of me eh! From there I travelled to Airlie Beach and went sailing on the 'British Defender' maxi boat for 3 days around the Whitsunday Islands. Met some really fun people had a blast, and bonus, I didn't get sea sick, must of been all the goon I consumed...numbed the senses!! Whitehaven Beach was everything I heard it to be...perfect white silica sand (bl**dy stuff got into my camera!). Unfortunately too many jelly fish to go swimming/snorkelling in just togs, had to wear full stinger suit.

Then moved onto Hervey Bay a full 14 hour bus ride arriving at 2am yuk...so 4 films later arrived to find they hadn't left me my key, so a very grumpy and tired hour later got 3 hours kip before being picked up for my Fraser Island experience. Met some fun folks, Roberta, Pascal and Liam...more amazing beaches, but this time not able to swim due to the bull sharks etc, but got to swim in very beautiful lakes. Because we were camping the night sky was amazing, shooting stars, milky way, southern cross etc...superb!

From Hervey then onto Brisbane and Stradbroke Island. SI was okay although could have done this in a day and not stayed over and had extra time in Brisbane... nevermind, had a goodtime all the same. Met up with Roberta, Pascal and Liam and had a couple of good nights out, thanks guys, defo meet up with you in London when i get back! My only regret was not having time to go to Steve Irwins zoo but something to do when I come back to Oz.

Brisbane to Byron Bay...had a fun few days in Byron, very relaxing just what I needed, did some divingsnorkelling, better than GBR I thought! Lots of turtles, sharks and rays...wow. Met up with Paul, J and John the Jersey boys I met in Whitsundays good to see familiar faces.

A 10 hour coach journey later arrived in Sydney on 28th April where I stayed for a couple of nights before flying to Perth on 30th...good to be back in my fav city...
