The Anaconda IIIWe eventually got off the Greyhound just after 10am. The bus broke down at some point during the night, so we were late getting to Airlie Beach, and we didn't have any accommodation as we were going sailing around the Whitsundays that night, so we had to pack a small bag for the boat sitting at the bus stop! Once we had dropped our big rucksacks off in storage and checked in at the boat office we met Angie for lunch and then had a wander around Airlie Beach while we waited to sail. Finally at 6.30pm we walked down to the harbour to meet the crew of the Anaconda III, who gave us glass of champagne and told us about the yacht and the trip. We were also given our stinger suits, as the water is full of jellyfish. That night we sailed to Hook passage and moored there for the night. The stars were beautiful - I've never seen so many, and the group we're with seem really nice, although everyone went to bed early!
