Rescued! This morning at breakfast there was an announcement to say there would be a boat leaving at 10am, so quickly packed our bags - I'm so ready to leave Fiji, and get away from the bites and spiders and mice! We eventually got on the boat in the pouring rain, with the waves nearly coming over the side of the boat, and made our way to the catamaran. Stranded on a desert island… Today we've woken up to a hurricane! All the trees have been blown over, the waves are huge and it's really windy, which is really scary, considering how small the island is. They've said that there won't be any boats leaving today, so we will probably miss our flight tomorrow. Almost back to semi-normality! This morning we did a weaving class with a local woman who is eight months pregnant. She has to go to the mainland tomorrow until she gives birth, so she has to leave her other three children on the island. She doesn't see her husband for three months at a time because he works on Beachcomber Island, so she gave us a note to give to him, as we're going there later today.
