We are now up in the Cameron Highlands - when we arrived up here it was raining (the heaviest rain i think ive ever seen!!) - we got soaked trying to our room! Though the temperature is sooo pleasant up here (tho it does get chilly at night but we are enjoying that - get to sleep without sweating!) We were recommened a hostel by other travellers - its a great place - but our room is in a army bunker! I have not been well the past few days but am feeling much better today so we finally managed to get out and see the beautiful seneary! We went on a half day tour around the area, visiting; rose farm (gorgeous views of the countryside around) strawberry farm (who needs S&A Davis!), butterfly farm (MASSIVE butterflies - bigger than i knew existed!), honey bee farm (tad boring), a chinese temple (a modern one so wasnt too great) but finally what we are here for...the tea plantations - they are beautiful, we walked around a tea factory (it really smelt like you were in a cup of tea!!) the views from here were stunning! Didnt get to see anyone picking the tea tho which was a tad of a shame. We are now trying to plan our next two weeks in Malaysia - we want to spend time on a beautiful beach (actually get to sun bath as we havent been able to yet....still white! Not that 3years sun bathing would probably change that!) but we are struggling to decide what island to go to (as its the beginning of the monsoon season here we want to go to a place where its least likely to rain!). Oh its a hard life when the big decision of the day is what beach to spend a week on!!
