Arrived in Rotorua from Taupo today, via Waitomo, to do the Black Water Rafting, in the Ruakuri Caves. We had a horribly early start again (got up at 6, after getting up at 5 yesterday!) and were picked up by our bus 20 minutes late! It took 3 hours to get to Waitomo, and we were dropped off at the centre. We were originally going to the 'Black Abyss' (I kind or regret not doing it now..) but the idea of being in the cave for 2.5 hours and the things you did scar...

Wow, had a fun yet scary day today! We did the Tongoriro Crossing. We had to get up at 5am to be ready for our 6am pick up. Slept most of the way on the bus as it took a few hours to get to the base of the mountains. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Just did a skydive!!! It was AMAZING! so much fun, can't believe I did it, it was just incredible! You fall so fast - 200km/h - yet it doesn't even feel like you're falling, you get such amazing views, and the sun was shining so we could see the East and West coast of NZ (and Mount Doom too!) It was just the best thing I've ever done, would do it again definately! I was quite nervous on the plane ride up, but as soon as you're out the plan...

We are now in Wellington, unfortunately, due to the buses not running everyday, we can only stay 1 night which is a shame as we would have liked to have been able to see a bit of the capital! There is also apparently a lot of free stuff to do around here, so that would have been an added bonus! Oh well.
