Just left Ko Phan Ngan in the middle of transit waiting for our over night coach to Bangkok from Chumphon, so we will fill you all in on our last few days, already told you we a had a wicked bugalow on the beach, such a nice place to stay so nice we hardly left the place in the day just lounged round the pool and chilled on the beach, anyway be friended our neighbours Lea and Issac from Wisconssin USA, had some brilliant nights with drinking Chang and they taught us some of the best games ever. We introduced them to Falafels so it was a fair trade. Enjoy the rest of your honeymoon guys and stay in touch.
Had a few warm up beers before the Full Moon party to get the evening started, whilst watching the sunset, and various hand stand competitions. Headed out excited about the evening ahead the party usuall has around 10,000 crowd and we were expecting a mental scene the biggest beach party in the world, picked up a few buckets on our way down to the beach when we got there it was pretty quiet, couple of thousand people sitting around with buckets all abit subdued, not what we were expecting not a single bar was even playing any music it was abit sereal, waited and someone said the music would start at 12pm but we hung round until 2am still no music, finally found out it had been abit of a mix up and it was the full moon but also a Buddhist holiday so NO MUSIC tonight, the party had been postponed til the next night, what f***ing idiots, felt abit stupid as we went home, decided its always good to had a dress rehersal!! Never been 24 hrs early for a party before!!!
Woke up slightly hungover with a bandaged toe, stubbed it, on the way to the beach and we had to make a visit to the infamous Full Moon Nurse she is even in the Lonely Planet!!
Second time lucky, same plan as the night before but had a couple more recruits (but lost them all pretty soon!!) Made some home made buckets and beers and made our way down, had a falafel and then made it to Haad rin beach this was more like the whole beach was packed all the bars playing different music from hard house, techno, pop, reggae, drum n bass you name it. Walked along the beach for a while just taking it all in it was amazing the biggest beach party in the world!! Started drinking quite a few buckets then went to the drum n bass bar where we bumped into a mate we met in Noosa, Australia couldnt believe it! Also saw a guy i used to work with in Harrys!! Beach was full of lights, firespinners, messy and strange people, smudged UV paint everywhere later to be us. There was even a sleep arena, but thankfully we didnt need that were not light weights and had far too many red bulls in buckets, could wirte about the party for ages, it was a wicked night, ended up seeing the sunrise from the Orchid Bar, the last ones on the podium til the end, decided we had put in a good show and finally left the beach at 8 am to find an early morning taxi, luckily remembered our sunnies it was so bright, had to hang on to the back of the sangethaew as the hill were so steep.
Spent alot of the next day relaxing then went out for a nice dinner with Lea and Issac had a few beers played more dice and card games till the early hours of this morning. Today said our goodbyes then took the ferry to Chumphon where we are now. xxxxxxxx

Hi beach bums. Looking forward to hearing all your stories, but don't come back yet. Wet and cold, even had snow here a couple of weeks ago. Fields are flooded and muddy. In other words, make the most of where you are! Hiring the bike is a great idea; it's the only way see places. I suppose you are both disgustingly fit and brown.
Have you got all your photographs with you on CDs, or do you want me to lift them all off the web?
love from Uncle Andy

Hi V and Toby, so good to hear you guys are having a great time, have to admit that I am sad not to be there too. My desire to travel to Thailand is getting so enormous that I felt sick with jealousy reading your account! I will get there, I will! Not sure when I last spoke to you, I think I was in London when you rang last V. Well, last weekend the girls got together for Hayley's hen do, we went to the Carwash club after eating in a spanish restaurant. It was so good to catch up and we danced all night long in our 70s attire. The swimming pool in the club was very intriguing, unfortunately I didn't bring my bikini.. nevermind next time drunken swim! what else has been going on? well, Jack's new band has changed to the boxing octopus! Hayley gets married on the 10th March, very soon! Lots of organising for our Youth day celebration at KIAD bar held on the 18th March, music planned by Jack! Lots of birthday are coming up which means celebrations yay!Next week I'm working on the last Little Prince project in a different school that will be a sad time for jo the director. Oh going to Trets in April looking forward to that. Life is nicely ticking over and busy seeing friends, sorry I havn't got as exciting news to give you. Miss you sis and look forward to the next time we speak loads of love and hugs Becsxx

Having a lovely time in Koh Samui now doing the West Islands now, had a rather eventful time yesterday getting here, We left the hostel in Phuket at 8.30 am and finally arrived in Samui at 7pm when we were meant to arrive at 3pm. Started by being picked up in a rather battered up car, then transported to a minibus, next to a coach on the side of the highway (which had the most interesting pink and blue decor frilly curtains, lovely!! Next we were summoned off at Surat Thani where we waited in a dirty little office where they tried to sell us various trips and transfers, next transfered in a disco car with a rather crazy thai man, blarring music and dancing behind the wheel the whole way singing at the top of his voice. Then another taxi bus, crammed full drove us to the coach, which took us to the to the ferry and finally one more taxi to our beach, where we decided it was time for a beer or two make that 10!!! Had a great night drinking lots of Chang with Bernie who we met on the bus at the beginning of the journey. Found a great hostel only 200bt a night (less than 3 quid) right on the beach its called Beers House on Lamai beach, today we went round the town and visited the Grandfather and Grandmother rocks ( they look like a d*** and a fanny! spent the rest of the day on the beach and had another superb indian meal yummy cured our hangover bellies!! catch you all soon x x

Hope you have a good one at the full moon party, don't get too f***ed, or f*** it just get battered and reach for that moon. That little monkey on the photos, ha ha, can you bring me one back! I'm braving the English winter at the minute working in Leicester. Hopefully going away doing the same promotional work over the summer, somewhere in Europe I think. Been popping over to Derbs now and again, seeing people and getting wrecked. Anyway take care and have a good one, and don't forget that monkey!

Well what can i say beautiful beaches, awesome sunsets, amazing food, great beer i think its safe to say we are loving thailand!! We'll give you a quick run down of what we have been upto:
We left Hat Yai got the coach to Krabbi, headed to get a longtail boat to Railay beach from ao nang. couldnt believe how many tourists there were it was like benidorm! Finally got to railay beach after a long walk over to east railay and up 50 steps we found our accomadation, a nice bungalow (shack). had a good look around the area some wicked bars and restaurants right on the beach perfect for chilling with a chang or chimp!! see the pic of the cheeky monkey william! Went over to watch the rockclimbers on ton sai beach and watched the sunset (pretty good pics eh?) Had some wicked meals at the restaurants, really feel like king and queen. Relaxed at the beaches and soaked up the chilled atmosphere. Next we got the ferry over to Ko Phi Phi we had booked somewhere on long beach to stay but phoned up when we arrived and they told us it was full!! We remembered Nick and Rachel stayed in a wicked place called Viking resort so phoned them up, it was the best decision we had made, eventually got there by longtail boat, it has its own beach, its situated halfway between long beach and the town, the best bit is yet to come..... Our bungalow was picture perfect right on the beach up on a hill the view was perfect, the bungalow its self was so cute, alot of care and attention had gone into it, we had our own balcony facing the sea with a hammock!! loads of nice artwork in it and dangling shells everywhere, the resort was the best we had stayed in so far everything about it was great it did cost us a bit more to stay here but was well worth it. Even found the message from Gemma in the guestbook!!!
On the first day we checked out the town and the main beach followed by a few bars then at night walked over to long beach along a dodgy path!! Had dinner right on the beach the food here is fantastic, loving the thai green curry, then made the walk back in the dark, the next day we walked in to town had some wicked thai pancakes for brekkie you can have anything in them, did some more sight seeing then went back to our own little beach and relaxed all day, it was a shame to leave Ko phi phi especially vikings as the place was the best.
Yesterday we got the ferry to Phuket got here at 11am found a guesthouse eventually and had a look round the town, probably stay here 2 nights then head over to Ko samui on the east coast then Ko pha Ngan for the infamous full moon party. Last night there was a huge street party outside the hostel, arrived in Phuket for the Old Town, yearly festival, so there was parades and lots of bands, traditional dancing even some fire spinning, think they are on there way up to the Moon Party too! just found some where to stay on Samui and Phan Ngan so things are looking good!! xxxxxx p.s just put the ko phi phi pics on check them out.
Rach & Nick
