Good idea to relax in Thailand for a couple of weeks, gotta say its the best place to do that. Never mind about cambodia got ya whole lives to go back.

Me and nick are part of the 9-5 clag now, its not to bad though, we are both really enjoyning our new jobs so it makes it easier.

           so sorry to hear your news Nozza told me last night what had happened, can't believe those a***holes, what a downer it must have put on your visit to vietnam. If you guys don't make it to cambodia then at least you have got an excuseto go back to asia some time as you have unfinished business.

Sorry I didn't get in touch last week, tried to text that number you gave me but it wouldn't allow the text through!!??  I was just trying to get your glasto details as i was trying for helen so was going to to get yours as well, however as it goes didn't even get through for helen either.

Just a quick one to let you all know were fine and recovering well, still in a bit of pain but Verina is turning out to be a very good nurse. We finally came to the decision to miss Cambodia out and go straight to Thailand to relax on a secluded beach for 2 weeks!! Both looking forward to it, if we went to Cambodia it would be very rushed and expensive as we would hav to fly in and out. So we'll save it for another time.

We both want to say a big thankyou to everyone for your concerns especially our famillies missing you all heaps and cant wait to see you soon. xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I feel a lot happier after our talk and pleased youve taken the sensible decision to not travel further and return to Thailand. Rest well and dont forget to retain all the necessary paperwork from the hospital and the police?crime report reference number etc for you insurers. You need to contact insurers asap and also get them to arrange for you to be collected/ met at airport etc so you dont have to carry luggage etc.Call me when you arrange flights. Dear V and Toby, How are you both now? I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to you both. I wish I could be with you right now and give you a hug. Please spend lots of time treasuring yourselves with nurturing things and don't rush to do things because you think you ought. There will be other opportunities so take your time wherever you go. Please pray strongly Verina (like a lions roar!) and feel confident that people at home love you both and are really looking forward to your arrival home. I have just heard about your terrible news. I am so sorry to hear that, and I hope that you are both ok. I am not suprised that you are in shock! It's such a shame that you have been gone such a long time and gone so far and at the last leg of the tour this happens! Well I hope that you two do manage to go to Cambodia but I suppose the main thing is that you are both ok. Everyone sends their love and best wishes. Looking forward to seeing you both very soon.

hey all not sure what is happening now as me and toby got attacked last night toby has 2 cracked ribs, five stitches in his knee and 4 in his toe and I have a huge black eye, 3 stupid f***ing b******s in a club, decided to start on toby, he bumbed into them when he was dancing and before we knew it they had him on the floor in seconds kicking him in the ribs, i grabbed one of the men and he turn round and started punching me in the face, until people started pulling him off and restraining him, it was total madness, we were all having such a nice time dancing with our friends when it came from no where im still in total shock, but just wanna leave Vietnam asap, we would still like to do cambodia,  but now sure if its still on the cards. or we could just head back to Bangkok early not sure quite whats happening, its pretty w***, sorry just having a vent my frustration!! at the whole situation i cant believe we got so far, and soooooo good, its so disappointing x  x

lets start with the bad news again, we have now been robbed and assaulted in 3 days!!! We were having such a lovely time in Saigon, on our first day we visted the War Remnants Museum it was really interesting, very anti-american (felt quite pleased to be English) Yesterday we visited the Cu Chi  tunnels and Cao Dai at Caouism temple. The temple was pretty strange a new religion founded 40 years ago and amalgimates all the religions of the world together, half the temple was built like a church, then it had a mosques minuet and a chinese pagoda and the end, it was like nothing we had ever seen on our travels watched a ceremony, with lots of chanting and praying, didn't quite understand what was happening, but quite intreging. That afternoon we headed to the Cu Chi tunnels, the they had been build during the war to hide the Viet Cong and took over 20 years to complete, housing 16,000 people, at three diferent levels underground. It was a pretty tight sqeeze going through the tunnels and so hot, we only went through the new tunnels they made larger for all the western tourists, but toby had a go at trying to get in the opening for the vietnamese size one it was tiny!!! At the end of the tour they took you to the firing range and we shot off a few rounds on a AK47, it was so loud, i felt like tank girl, but my shot was massivly off target!!! also been out for some nice meals even found a KFC think it was the only one in Vietnam so we had a flounder and got take away last night and stayed in watching the footie all crammed into one room.

Today we have been to the hospital again to have the dressings on toby's stitches changed and my eye looked at we are just contemplating what to do next! thank you for all your concerns but im sure we are on the mend already x x x

Well i'll start with the bad news first.............. I got f***ing robbed last night!! The good news is Nha trang is a wicked ploace and we had an excellent time here, after going to the mud spas we splurged again and treated ourselves to a really nice meal in a pretty posh restaurant still was very cheap about 1 pound 50 a meal!! And even got our selves a bottle of vietnamese wine. Then went to one of the many bars here for cocktails.

Yesterday we Did a boat trip stopping at 4 islands and it included lunch and free red wine on a floating bar plus loads of snorkelling and swimming it was a great day it was so hot perfect for sailing. First we stopped at Mun Island, where we stopped for snorkelling but the masks were rubbish so couldn't see too much, lots of varieties of coral. But it was fun diving of the boat and splashing around with everyone, it was a great group of us, Will, Verity, Jackie and Brad and some lads that we keep bumping into all down the coast Phil, Jo and Joel. After this we were taken to another island for lunch a spread of  various seafood, this was followed by lunch time entertainments when the crew transformed into the TM brothers boy band, they sang songs and we all danced on the tables, the driver of the boat doubled as the drummer on his makeshift drum kit. Watch the video its very funny, soon to be seeen on MTV most wanted!!!

This was then followed by happy hour at the floating bar,  you were given rings to sit in and then had to hang on to the bar with your feet while drinking lots of red wine some slightly salty pineapple, great fun.  After the excitment of the bar we all relaxed on the roof of the boat drinking beer while it took us to the next island for watersports. Enjoyed lots of swimming and sunbathing before heading back to Nha Trang, where we all had a great dinner at street stalls and sat up on the roof top drinking and relaxing. Verina decided stay in as she wasnt feeling up for drinking so i headed out with the lads, to some bars, had a wicked night can't remember much is abit blurry, went to lots of bars until 4 am, drinking buckets and lots of vodka  and mental dancing at the Bar Why Not? On the way home bottle of vodka in hand we were met by a couple of rather friendly ladies offering us massages and anything else we might want. they were pretty pushy, but we managed to get away, then they reappeared on a bike a few minutes later and threw a wallet at us, i looked down and realised it was mine the cheeky b**** had robbed me, i hadn't felt a thing!!! So glad to get the wallet back only had about 200,000 dong in it about a tenner. Spent most of the day recovering!!
