Hi everyone,
We've just spend our first night in Adelaide, on route to Melbourne. Had a wander round yesterday and played spot the church, its called the 'City of Churches' not hard to see why. Walked around the Botanical gardens they were beautiful so many plants i'd never seen before, i love the umberella tree which had some very colourful and noisy parrots in it. We spotted the wine centre so we might have to pop back there today! Spent the evening chilling in the dorm met a really nice couple who are going to travel with us along the Great Ocean road in the campervan, so were looking forward to the road trip in few days time. We have managed to get a relocation van to drive to Melbourne in for only a dollar a day, its a 6 Berth luxury campervan its even got a shower pretty posh!! the best bit is they are even giving us $150 petrol money, we just have to get it there in 3 days.
Already missing Heather, Jess, Jatz and Sharmu, it was really hard to leave Fremantle yesterday as it definately feels like a second home now in Australia. If your reading this Heth, thank you so much for letting us stay. We are really going to miss you all, (maybe not the doggy poo patrol!!!) Say hi to everyone we didn't get a chance to say goodbye to especially, Louise, Brett thank them again for helping with Toby's tooth.
Better go now so we can do abit more exploring, will write again soon, love to all
Big hugs Speak to you all soon, stay in touch
Love Verina and Toby x x x

Hello!
Sorry I've been really useless & haven't come to see what you've been up to for ages. It sounds so amazing! Really happy that you're having such a good time. The photos are beautiful too, especially the ones of Milford Sound. Definitely dragging Alycia off to the south island when I get to NZ!
So I've finished my festival season for another year...stewarded at Glade, Womad & Big Chill, Glade was bloody amazing but the others were really good too. Was so knackered afterwards though cause Big Chill was the weekend after Womad so had 1 1/2 days at home & then was off again. But it's a small price to pay!
Also I'm going to book my flights tomorrow! Am flying to Delhi at the end of october then going overland to Kathmandu in Nepal, ready to start my volunteering in november. The political situation is still fairly stable over there...no more royal massacres/government arrests/mass deomnstrations as yet, so things are looking good ;) Then at the end of march I'm flying to Bangkok, 2 months later flying from Singapore to Sydney for 2 weeks then on to Auckland. & what's this I hear about you extending your travels??? What are you plans after leaving Oz, & when would that be? It would be wicked to meet up with the 2 of you :)
Jonny xx
Alycia

Hi guys, just a quick hello, just popped into an internet cafe whilst Verina is geting er hair cut, quick update of what weve been upto the last week or so, we went on a day trip to Rottnest Island its about half an hour boat ride form Fremantle, had a wicked day we both hired out bikes and cycled round the whole island(25km) saw some amzing sites and some cute little Quokkas(funny looking creatures bit like cute rats!!) hope youve all looked at the pictures. Both knackered at the end of the day, but well worth it.
Also been taking the dogs on some long walks down the beaches and parks, been shopping a few times, went ice skating last saturday that was a night we wont forget for a while or repeat!! I was the oldest in there by about 10 yrs and the worst apart from Verina who couldnt let go of the sides! it didnt take me long to get the hang of it again, all that practice at ryde ice rink when i was 16 came in handy. we were both glad to leave in one piece!! Did quite alot of housework and odd jobs round the house as Heather came back on Sunday. Going to b leaving for Adelide on Monay, both cant wait to get back on the road.

Well hello my travelling chums...Firstly I would like to apologise for not writing too much on the message board, to be honest I have only just worked out how the thing works. I have been sending emails to your email account. Have you got them? I hope so. Anyway, to keep things easier I will try and use the message board more often....PHEW!!!
Right then...I'm pleased to hear you sacked in your jobs, after I spoke to you (think it was your first day) I thought how difficult it would be. Me and Rach did it once to help fund our nights out at uni but had to do door to door sales....doors slammed in your faces..needless to say we quit after the first day. I'm sure she told you about it. Fruit picking is where it's at, although I have heard some stories about creepy crawlies you have to watch out for. Well good luck on the job front anyway, let me know how it's going.
So you have extended your travels? That's brilliant news. Me and Andy were talking about coming out to see you at Christmas. So you will be in Sydney not Asia? We will have to see if we can afford it, but would be brilliant to come and see you both.
I will send you a bigger email to your account again as theres lots to tell you but will give you a brief low down. We have been to see the lads house in Birmingham, which is really sweet...a proper house...oooh they're all grown up, we are debating where to move at the mo but probaby stay in Notts for the time being. I am temping at Experian...."Switchboard Operator" I'll have you know (think I told you when I spoke to you) but looking out for a job in HR and Andy is on the look out for something new but is also working at Experian. Actually we have quite a team of us, me, Andy and Hel have decided to start our own Experian Empire....we intend to take control!!!! Plus, I hear my fellow colleagues at John E Wright want a slice of the action....aaaaaaaaaaahhh!!
Just got back from our summer hols, a week in Majorca, it was so relaxing. We stayed in a villa just outside Puerto Pollensa (North, East) with Andy's parents and sister. We had a brilliant time...even catching you up with the tans...(me thinks not!). Oh Verina, I bought a laughing buddha...I love him, I got him from a little market and thought of you....I called him Toby as he looks more like a boy than a girl. Before you ask the chanting has come to a bit of a stand still but when I feel I'm getting in a pickle...I remember those words of wisdom so fear not!!!
It was so nice to see you both meet up with Rach and Nick, I bet you had the best time. Theres not much to report on the home front, Stevie B is in Taiwan at the mo, I got an email from him recently, he's loving it out there. Robs just got himself a lovely little job but I won't say too much as I'm sure he will want to tell you himself and I am no "Foghorn"!!...
Well this is turning out to be quite a long message so will stop there...going to have a look at your photos now...shhhh don't tell my boss!! Will send you an email so keep checking your accounts the pair of you. Missing you both loads, keep safe.
Loads a hugs
Gem xxxx
P.S Thanks for calling the other week, you all made my year!!! Oh Verina have you got a mobile number yet? I think I only have Toby's xx

Tobes,
Just thought I'd tell you what happened last weekend cos its Friday lunchtime and cannot wait to get out of work! On sat went sailing from Southampton to Plymouth with Daniel Merlo. Had a horrific hangover which made the first few hours very painful but after that it was great fun. We were the youngest on the boat, all the others were in there forties and fifties so that made it quite interesting. Motored down the Solent to the Needles - first time I have seen them from the water. Then operated a watch system when we got the sails out. Got in my hammock at 11pm - then they turned on the diesel engine due to lack of wind! Like sleeping inside a traction engine! Woken up at 2am for next watch. Merlo got on the helm and we picked up to 21 knots (fast). The boat was tipped on its side at a ridiculous angle and it was pitch black. Could see some lighthouses in the distance and a few fishing trawlers- that was it! After my turn steering it started getting light at 5am. Then Merlo spotted two dolphins off the bow of the boat. They were surfing the wash. What a sight - just off the coast of Devon.
Got to Plymouth around 1pm on Sunday - just in time to see a powerboat race. Then fell asleep on train home.

Hiya!
Great to hear from ya. I'm working for the Anglo Irish Bank, I've been workin there for a year now and it's good. I've done my GCSEs, started to do my A-levels but after 2 months I left because all of my friends went to college and i couldnt take it anymore by the way the A-level students treat me so i just left and found a job straight away. It's not fair because i always wanted to go to Uni. Oh well........but i've thought about going to college to do some IT and Art courses after my world travel missions!
Anyway! I'm 18 now! and i'm loving it! I'm going to Greece next month to Malia with my friends Kerry, Charlotte and my mum and dad. Cant wait to go there! Should be a great laugh. The only thing that i'm gonna do in Greece is sunbathe, clubbing, hangover then sunbathe, clubbing, hangover then again and again! haha
I really cant wait til i'm 21! I want to go to the place where The Beach was filmed! It should be brilliant and all i want to do is lie on the white sand and look at the stars at midnight!
I'll tell everybody that u sent ur love and tell Laura that u said Happy Birthday!
