Thursday 6th September
Day four
It's stopped raining and the sun is shining. We arrived early to go and see the geysers which were amazing; we spent about an hour wondering around looking at the mud pools and stuff. We then set off for Taupo about an hour and a half drive.
Taupo is definitely the best place we've been to so far. We have a really good plot at the campsite that looks over the lake with snow capped mountains in the background. Taupo has lots of bars and shops, heaven! We got talking to a couple who recommended a place to stay in Oz called Mooloolabar which sounded pretty cool so we might check it out.
There are lots of things to do here; planning to go jet boating tomorrow looks great fun. We may stay here for three nights instead of two and miss out Napier. Had to go and buy extra blankets and a heater, as its freezing!

Day Six
Napier
We went to Napier and really didn't like it. It was full off boy racers driving round and round. Not sure if that was just because it was weekend, but it was a nightmare! The place itself was ok, not as good as it looks in the books though, hardly any bars or restaurants. Would have been ok to drive through have a look at the art deco buildings and carry on.
