Day Eight / South Island

Drove from Picton to Kaikoura, we were planning to go whale watching, but not as easy as that for us! We arrived to find our trip had been cancelled!! So we have booked to go tomorrow morning, fingers crossed the whales come back!

Kaikoura is a small town and the coast is amazing, lots of Seals and black sand. The campsite we are at has a Private Hot tub which looks out over the Snow capped mountains, so we have been in that for about a hour, Amazing.Going to try to drive all the way to Franz Josef Glazier tomorrow, but its about an 8 hour drive, so see how far we get.
