Froya!! Trip from Lensvik for 24 hours.
Our holiday on holiday!!
Well we arrived at about 6pm after a long drive through tunnels that went under the fjords and connected the islands to the mainland. We decided we would try catch some fish for dinner so we set off ( Kenneth, Lars Arne and I) and found a good place within 5 mins Dad and Liam had also turned up and another 2 mins later Lars Arne reeled in the first fish! It wasn’t very big but we kept it, we then moved to a new place and within 5 mins Kenneth had pulled in another fish of about the same size, this one was called a Saye. Froya was very rocky and barren with a few nice green paddocks but very beautiful in a wild sort of way and extremely windy! We cooked one of the fish and had it for dinner, luckily we brought back up food incase we didn’t catch any fish. The next morn we weren’t active all that early but when we did get up we got a HUGE surprise to find Juliet, Rapha and Rune. It was very interesting standing on the doorstep having a morn reunion while Juliet instantly dug into the strawberries we had there. That day we went out on the boat in the first lot was Liam, Dad, Mum, Lars Arne, Kenneth and I we did pretty well and caught 18 fish, they weren’t particularly big but good enough for us. At one point Lars Arne pulled in 5 at one time!!! Liam also caught some big fish which took all the line so no more line on that fishing rod. Very surprisingly I didn’t get seasick. We also saw a few porpoise which circled round the boat, I was terrified we might accidentally catch one. We then returned for lunch everyone was very excited by our catch, Liam and I gutted them with a little help from Kenneth. Then after lunch the 2nd lot of people went out. This consisted of Lars Arne, Kenneth, Kay, Juliet, Liam and Rune (said ROO-na). While they were out fishing we took the dogs Rapha and Mya into Titran for a walk. We visited the big statue then returned back. They finally returned but without any luck at all =[. We then prepared dinner with our lovely fish! Kenneth won the competition on how many fish we would catch be guessing correctly. That night we returned to Lensvik at about 12am, the sun was still going down at 10.30 11pm.
