Visited San Francisco today and hired bikes and cycled over the Golden Gate Bridge. To be honest I wasn't that impressed it looks like the Severn Bridge but in red (I'm sure we could paint ours red to get some more tourists in!). Set off early this morning to try and make it to San Francisco by nightfall. Drove through the Avenue of the Giants (one of the redwood forests) and went to see the biggest one which was 53 feet in diameter (don't think we will be wanting that as a Xmas Tree in Francis Towers anytime soon!). Managed to make it to the campsite outside SF by 7 and are now pitched up and being eaten alive by mosquitos (joy!)
