Well I have finally made it back home!

I had my last day in Canada on Monday, which ended up being fairly quiet due to my crippling illness and sorting out of travel arrangements. I got everything booked and started my journey at 4am, as I had to get a greyhound (For probably the last time....boo hoo) to Seattle. I got a lovely full security check at Seattle which made me exceptionally nervous, I think the lady at the passport desk singled me out as a threat and gave me a different stamp and sent me to a different queue. I got all my stuff swabbed and chemical checked. I waited a couple of hours and hopped on a Luftansa (Back with all my friends from the Rhineland) to Frankfurt, which was supposed to take 10 hours, but thanks to their efficency it was done in a lean 9. The flight was ok, I just watched films etc but was very fidgety due to the lack of room and my tiredness. The worst part was the landing, due to my cold the air pressure really affected my ears and reminded me of my ear infection which wasnt great. Oh and I think the flight attendant fancied me, he was exceptionally friendly and asked if I was in London as he had a stopover in Hammersmith.

I had a 4hr stopover in frankfurt which was the worst part of the journey, I was quite disorientated and very bored, but I had a burger and a coke and a good laugh at the american tourists paying $35 for a maccy d's and looking pretty devastated (It was 1 euro 35 for a chicken burger I loved it!) Finally got on the plane back and luckily zipped through customs with my copious amounts of Golden Virginia for Mum. Hopped on a coach not long after which got to MK in an hour which was great. A few days later I am still out of it with Jet Lag, but this is a holiday blog and not a diary so I will end it here!

Thanks to those who posted nice comments on my message board and pictures (Joyce in particular!), and a special thankyou to my mum who made this trip possible.

It has been a fantastic few weeks on reflection, and I have lots of memories that will stay with me forever. However I have just realsied I am not accepting an award so thank you all for reading and I hope you have enjoyed it.
