Today was our last full day in Rio before heading back to São Paulo for the last week of our holiday. We cannot believe where the time has gone, 3 weeks we have been here now but it feels like so much longer. Well today we accomplished two major things. A relaxing morning on Copacabana Beach, which was interesting - interrupted every 20 seconds by someone trying to sell something. In the space of two hours approx we were shown things such as: hats, sunglasses, sarongs, bikinis, jewellery, hot food, cold food, drinks, cocktails, hammocks, selfie sticks, phone cases/chargers, number plates, maps, plus other things that I just can't remember! Hello! So today we decided to travel up the big cable cars to visit Sugar Loaf mountain. This is done in two stages and boasts terrific views over Rio. In order to get to the cable car starting point, we walked from our hotel down through Botafogo and along past the university buildings.
