One week later still NOT IN MY TIME zone, still sleep and wake in the eastern standard time zone from stateside, this is the tough part. When I look out of the glass doors form inside the hotel it looks like a sunny day, walk outside and washed over with heat wave head to toe, a throbbing blaring heat that does not rest or differ in temperature. The sun set and sun rise are astonishing with bright shade of every sun color so crisp and clear for my view in AM and PM. Outside in this sun? for minutes and then i scurry to the shade or inside, no hat will be enough of a barrier.

The reason I am in this country is due to my acceptance for a teaching assignment in the elementary school ( Sila region) to teach reading, writing , math and science in english to arabic speaking students who will adopt the english language ( over time months? years?) through schooled time on task. By the way cartoon network (here on the UAE TV channels) will train these children also, just like in the states.

So thanks to Teachaway and the Abu Dhabi Education council, this is the beginning of my great adventure from stateside to the desert side!
