Dim Sum breakfast with Ty's relatives!
Dim Sum is a Chinese breakfast that Ty's mother Thann introduced me to when she came to visit us in New Haven. It's delicious, to say the least, and I've been hooked ever since! All six adults and six children piled into cars and made our way down to China town. We arrived hungry, which is the best state to be in when Dim Sum is on it's way! Within minutes, our big round table was filling up with plates full of Chinese delicacies. It's all served family style, so it was fun to poke my chopsticks towards the Lazy Susan and try a bit of everything!
Jook, or Congee, is a traditional Chinese porridge that my wonderful mother-in-law also introduced me to, and Noah could not get enough of it! He's at the age where he wants to taste everything mommy and daddy are eating, so it was helpful to finally have food that was baby friendly on the table. I fed him Jook by the spoonful, and we all sat around that round table enjoying the company of family and feasting on the plethora of food in front of us.
