Well I have come to the end of my travels and I am very sad!!! I am back in rainy Norfolk wishing I was still in America........ I thought I would fill you in on the last days of my travels as I'm still not going to get to see alot of you to tell you about it! So last time I wrote properly we were going to try to get in the film premiere after party. Well we did it! The guy who said he'd get us in had gone home when we got there and given us a dodgy number - surprise surprise!! But we were all dressed up and were determined to go so we went over to the hotel where the party was and sweet talked the security guys there. We got turned down a few times but there were a few different entrances so eventually we found our way in. We had to wait for Jessica Simpson to make her entrance first so she walked right past us and had an interview with the CBS film crew. She was soooooo tiny, in every way! It was cool to see her. After that we were allowed in but Jessica wasn't around, I think she went straight home after the film crew had done their bit, or she had a VIP area. Anyway, the bar was free so we obviously made use of that and we chatted to a few people. Mainly one guy that was in the film (apparently, we can't be sure til we watch it!) and one who's dad was (again, we'll see...). But it was great fun and a brilliant experience! After the party the guy who's dad was in the film and his friend took us for dinner at a diner and walked us home, awww! It was a really good night. The next day we did a sight seeing tour of LA which was fun. We saw lots of places I don't really remember but it was nice! Bits that I remember are the hotel where they filmed Pretty Woman, Rodeo Drive, Johnny Depps nightclub, etc.. All very interesting! That night there was a comedy night in our hostel which was really good and we all got very drunk on $2 corona's! Lots of fun!! On Thursday we were very very hungover and had only had a few hours sleep but it was our last day so we couldn't spend it in bed!! So we dragged ourselves out and spent the day at Venice Beach. It was really nice and a good sleep on the beach sorted out our bad heads! We also did the holiday thing and had henna tattoos and had our palms read... apparently i will live til at least 88-90, not bad!? We really wanted to rent out roller blades coz thats what you do at Venice beach but our balance was abit off that day so we decided against it! However, we were feeling ok by the end of the day and we went to Universal City for a meal at Bubba Gump Shrimp and then back to the hostel for yet another drunken night!! It was really good fun. We made so many friends at that hostel and everyone was buying us drinks and saying we couldn't go... we felt quite loved actually!! he he! The LA hostel was definately the best we stayed in, the people, the atmosphere etc was all amazing and we really didn't want to leave!! The next morning after 3 hours sleep we checked out and sadly left the hostel. We did have some friends to wave us off and steal our bags so we couldn't leave etc which is always nice!! I miss that place so much! If anyone ever goes stay with USA hostels in Hollywood, fantastic!! (Only if you don't actually want to sleep though!!) The trek to the airport was long, 3 trains and a bus, but we got there eventually. We had a lovely 10 hour flight home and arrived back here in sunny England at 11am on Saturday. It was sad to say bye to Charlie after spending all that time together but I know I've made a very good friend and we'll definately see each other again. So here I am, recovering at home, trying to get over the horrible jet lag and looking forward to my next trip to Newquay in just a few days!! Such a busy life!!
