Which was a VW Golf, and a manual one, as is the norm. I have to say that these days I'm vaguely irritated that all cars are not automatic. Since creating an automatic car is pretty well a perfunctory matter for motor manufacturers, I do wonder why the vast majority are not created thus. For the record, the book I am carrying is Sam Harris's "Waking Up - A Guide to Spirituality Without Religion". I will comment on that later.
