We headed South West, in the direction of Murcia and thereafter, Granada. Some say road trips are best constructed via the nuances of the back roads and the delights of stumbling upon unexpected villages and charming back waters of civilisation and culture. I'm not one of those; I get much from the liberational qualities of the open freeway, and the sense that the miles and kilometers are tumbling by. I do, however, enjoy observing the passing hills and the clouds and the weather and I say things like "Look Jeremy, look! What's that?" at each and every oddity we spy, as we barrel on in our quest to reach the horizon.
