Hello Earthlings who reside in America,
When the sun has risen and shone through our windows, everyone knew without saying a word that we mustn't spent our last day in South Africa in vain. Our energies are on a thin line of the 30%. Breakfast was brief unlike any others. The 52%. Most of us were mostly busy packing and preparing for our flight. Of course, before leaving South Africa, we must make the most of everything. We drove to the Voortrekkers museum to see the monument and history. When we arrived, we were overwhelmed by its size. The monument was huge. Going inside left us dumbfounded because there were carvings everywhere on the walls. They looked so realistic as if they are about come alive. We learned a brief history about the rivals between the tribes and the Dutch (Known as Boers, later as Voortrekkers). After looking around, we went to the very top of the monument-like dome by using the old-fashioned castle-like stairwell that circles around instead of going straight up. At the top, we experienced victory and knowledge. The view was indescribable! It had all different kinds of beauty. We could see the whole town. We could see that the green grasses and the trees were in charge because they covered almost everything. At the top, we went inside, in there we could look down and see the whole museum! It was far and narrow. After looking around and gaining knowledge, we charged a little by eating lunch. The museum has a small restaurant that has hamburgers, wraps, and etc. Lunch was over within a blink of an eye. The next thing we knew was that we were driving through Pretoria (One of the 3 capitals in South Africa) on the way to the airport. The 22%. We got on our flight to Dubai, some said it was long and some said it was short. From Johannesburg, South Africa to Dubai left us restless because we are about to go back home. The 77%. Most of us were awake because we arrived to Dubai! We are only one flight closer to America. In Dubai, we grab some food and coffee to prepare for the longest and the hardest flight. The 64%. Dubai to America felt like it would never end! However, when we arrived in America our moods changed to the 91%. The whole time in South Africa forced us to learn how to work with each other as a teamwork but at times we do fight as siblings. South Africa was beyond the experience that we expected. In South Africa, we learned to work together as one. In South Africa, we learned respect. In South Africa, we learned from the people who residents there. In South Africa, we learned that the future is in our hands and we must succeed in order to ensure a better future for the younger generations. One word that we would use to describe the heart of South Africa is listed below.
Jakiya Murphy ~ "Sprinkles"
Precious Schwartz ~ "Adventurous"
Jack Scarboro ~ "Experience"
Nevan Graves ~ "Discovery"
Kaci Ketchum ~ "Unbelievable"
Tarique Sylvester ~ "Inspiring"
Taran Johnson ~ "Unforgettable"
Farewell South Africa, Farewell.
