We woke up in Ketchikan, Alaska where we visited vibrant totem poles & colorful history in Potlatch Park. Winding our way through historical downtown amid shopping districts with intricate jewelry, curios and inspiring native art. I purchased a beautiful enamel BelleEtoile bracelet & a culturally inspired pair of eagle earrings to remind me of my time in this quaint town. Tana purchased a beautiful convertible ring with her birthstone & diamonds- very unique just like she is:)
The name Ketchikan comes from the Tlingit word for the creek that runs through town. Ketchikan receives an average of 160 inches of rain annually, while only receiving 6 inches of snow.
Carved by glaciers and blanketed with hemlock and giant spruce, Alaska's inside passage ia a region of pristine water, snow capped mountains, deep fjords and forested islands. This region is prime habitat for bald eagles, sea lions, porpises & whales.
