Hello everyone, sorry its been so long since we updated, we've found it hard to find a computer that lets you put photos on. We had a great 10 days in Sydney, the first night we managed to get a gorgeous apartment on the 36th floor right in the centre of the city, it was complete luxury with huge glass windows, a massive bed and big flat screen tv, it also had a really nice kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine etc! The next day we moved to another apartment down the road, it wasnt quite as nice but still really comfortable, we spent the day making the most of all sydneys shops and buying warm clothes for new zealand. Tris bumped into two of his friends from uni randomly in the street which was really wierd to say the city is so huge! That evening we went round to one of their flats for a bbq which was good. The next day we went for a cruise round the harbour which is huge and gave us really good views of the opera house and bridge, we stopped off at watsons bay and had a delicious seafood lunch at doyles restaurant which is famous for its seafood. I had calamari and giant queensland prawns and tris had seafood chowder and lobster salad, it was all really yummy. The next day was really hot so we went to bondi beach for the day, it was really really busy and the sea was absolutely freezing but we managed to go for a quick swim, and it was good watching all the surfers. That evening we went to see Cheryl tristans cousin, her daughter steph and husband bill cooked us a really good curry for tea. The next day was raining so we decided to go to the aquarium which was quite impressive, lots of very big sharks, rays and turtles, and then relaxed the rest of the day in front of the tv. The day after we went to Manly beach which is about a 20 minute ride on the ferry across the harbour. That evening we met up with Dan our friend from diving at the opera bar for a few drinks before going to see la boheme at the opera house which we really enjoyed. The next day we met up with Dan again and went to the fish market followed by the maritime museum, we stopped for lunch at a sushi bar with a conveyor belt which was fun and surprisingly tasty, i wasnt sure how much id enjoy raw fish but it was all really nice, we werent daring enough to try the raw eel, but dan did and he seemed to like it. That night we went out with tristans uni friends again for italian. On our last day we went to watsons bay again for fish and chips and spent the afternoon on a beach that was a short walk from the bay called camp cove, tris went snorkelling and saw cuttle fish, squid, box fish, rock lobsters, crabs and hundreds of jelly fish, i stayed out of the water it was too cold for me and unlike tris i didnt have a shark skin to keep me warm. That night we went out with Cheryl and Bill again, we were meant to only be having a few drinks because we had an early flight the next day, but ended up staying out really late and getting very drunk. I think we had about an hours sleep before the alarm went off and we both woke up feeling very ill so the flight was horrible!! Apart from that we had a really great time in Sydney and will definately be going back in the future, it was our favourite city in australia.
