Well we've arrived in Basel our new home for the next 12 months. Maddy was a superstar on the flight over here, even though she had a slight temperature and was teething. She slept most of the way.

Our apartment is awesome, we are really happy with it. There is plenty of space for all of us and as it's open plan Maddy has plenty of room to crawl around. The other great thing about it, is that we live in the same street as Roche so it's less than a 5 minute walk there.

We had a lady meet us at the airport and drove us to the apartment. She also took us for a walk around our new neighborhood to familierise ourselves with where everything is. Her name is Camilla (instead of me continuing to refer to her as 'she'). She was brilliant actually because our stroller (or buggy as they call it here) didn't arrive with the rest of our luggage so Camilla drove home after dropping us off and gave us some time to shower and start to feel normal again. She came back with her spare buggy that we can use until ours arrives.

Well I'd better go before jetlag really sets in and of course I have my first day of work tomorrow (I'm a glutton for punishment). Missing you all already.
