Thoughts on the bus to Mui ne
Ho chi Ming city or Saigon is a bit like a huge fair ground Motos, like dodgems en mass . Can you cross the road the prize is your life.
In Cambodia you struggled to get a decision in Vietnam you get one if you want it or not.
So let's discuss scams.
You change money in a bank It costs you more than a money changer.
You book a ticket direct with the company but can get it cheaper from an agent.
The world is full of scams some are just taking advantage of bad negotiations or confirming a price some are hidden in small print (booking fee, service charge). You could class adding 15% to your restaurant bill a scam.
But there are dishonest scams,
Border police trying to charge visa extension fees when they do not apply, people trying to ask for more money after a price has been agreed.
Advice, check and double check all details and price then check again . If you are not happy walk away,
Vietnamese sculptures are large, colourful and have a tacky Disney feel about them bit are fun though.
Arrived in Mui ne surfer kite surfing dude of a place. We are a bit away from the main throng which is good cos we have a small beach the main beach has been washed away concrete ramps hold the rest together.
Ok so in phnom phen large rats outside hotel , saw some at a distance in siem reap but rats as large as cats here in mui ne mmmmm nice glad hotel clean and tidy. Random blog I know but hey Ho
Blogging off
