Another day trip today, this time to Xel-Ha, a natural aquarium. It´s like a big inlet where fresh water meets the sea, with loads of little bays and rocks. I went on a walk around the whole site, and was pretty much on my own as most people had gone straight for the snorkelling, suddenly in front of me about 6 animals ran across the path. They were white nosed coati, and looked a bit like a racoon. I got some really nice photos (which eventually you will see when I can upload them!) of them eating together, also got a pretty big iguana, and some sea birds.

Once I had strolled around I was pretty hot and thirsty, and as all food and drink was included I decided against a thirst quenching water and went for a pina colada instead : )

Had some lunch in the Mexican restaurant, tried a bit of everything including cactus salad (minus the spiky bits) which was actually quite nice.

Now for the snorkelling! The driver had given us a few tips of good locations, so I swam over to the floating bridge and was merrily looking at the lovely fish. Then I glanced under the bridge - about a foot away from me was the biggest ugliest fish with razor sharp teeth staring right at me, well I am not easily scared but that really made me jump. I found out later that it was a grouper, let´s just say I much preferred the pretty rainbow fish!

Followed the snorkelling with a float down the lazy river, then another pina colada before the trip home.
