Our trip is over!!!
We left the Grampians and drove to the coast. We stopped at Warrnambool and then onto the Great Ocean Road.
We first came to the Bay of Islands, which looked amazing. The sea has eroded the limestone and clay cliffs to form islans in the middle of the sea. Unfortunately as we left here to drive on it started to spit with rain. It continued to drizzle with rain for the rest of the day. The first rain we have seen for a while. We then stopped at Crofts Bay and the Falls of Halladare, where a shipwreck lies. There are lots of different things to see on Great Ocean Road and we were stopping every five minutes to look at something all as good as the last one. We stopped at the Grotto, London Bridge, The Arch, Loch Ard Gorge, The Blowhole and Thunder Cave.
We the continued the next day seeing the 12 Apostle and Gibson Steps Lookout. We then went to Cape Otway National Park and went on a tree top walk on a bridge suspended high in the trees. Along the next part of the Great Ocean roads is seaside towns and magnificent views, we stopped at Apollo Bay a lovely seaside town. We went to Lorne and stayed here for the night.
In the morning after looking round Lorne we continued up the coast and visited Torquay. this is where the fist surf shops originated from and surf championships are held. We went to a shopping centre which only had surf shops we spent a few hours looking round here, they had every surf shop you can think of.
We ended the day arriving in Melbourne.
