Oh, the island of Capri is so gorgeous! We visited Rome in 1999 so for this trip we filled in a few gaps of places we hadn't seen including the Trevi fountain which had been under repair then. We saw a funny thing at the Trevi fountain. From Pompeii it was onto Sorrento, a resort town which gazes out over the Bay of Naples from its steep little perch on the cliffs. .We checked into our tents in a campground high on a hill - our home for the next two nights. From Venice it was on to Rome - a full day on the bus.
