Our last day of Egypt! It has been a whirlwind of temples, monuments, burial chambers, the wonders of the Red Sea and the challenge of Mt Sinai. History has been all round us at every turn. It was sad to part company with our Busabout travelling companions. Some went on to do a short tour of Jordan, but most were heading off either onto their next travels or home.
We took a taxi for the one and a half hour trip to Sharm El-Sheikh, the closest airport. Sharm El-Sheikh is a seaside Red Sea resort town but is also notorious for a terrorism attack in 2005 when 64 tourists were killed. No evidence of problems today as we checked in to our Royal Jordanian flight to Amman.
Cheers to all the crew of Busabout, and "shukran" for being a pleasure to travel with.
