So I did Melbourne in two days!!!.. I know this was not long enough.. but I managed to cram it all in and saw enough to be satisfied with for now!!.. Apart from staying in possibly the scabbiest hostel of my whole trip.... I quite liked Melboure... first impression when walking the city was it was a bit of a mis matched city.. In terms of architecture ( yes this is email writing this!! - haha) It had really modern building, next to really old english/london type building, next to big concrete one ?? Next to a nice river with lots of nice little cafes.... modern trams that almost look like something out of back to the future, and then a nice old fashion 'City Circle Tram'.... nice feel to it though. Went and had a quick look in the exhibition center and bumped into my boss from Sydney Exhibition center.. such a small world as usual. Then after walking at break neck speed around the city.. Yes I had to do it.. the NEIGHBOURS TOUR!!! which was great to see, not that I've watched it for years but its still the same... Although Pin Oak Court.. aka Ramsey street is the smallest street ever...couldn't believe it.... so kept my eye out for the star but none to be seen, found out some goss though... Susan is going to Marry Alex, then he dies (suprise suprise, don't they all) and then eventually Karl and Susan get back together!! hurrahhh. Next day I headed off on a day trip down the great Ocean Road, you can do 3 day trips all the way to Adelaide but I think I saw the main things.. even managed to do a cheap as Helicopter Flight over the 12 Apostles, which is one of the Main Sights to see...however, you can see all 12 from the land, and there is only actually 11 now as one corrodded away and fell into the see in June... Also saw what is know as London Bridge, and nice rock that does look like London Bridge.... after some very confused looks by some of the others on the bus ( we had to point out ... NO this is not Tower Bridge!) And funnily enough 'London Bridge did fall down!' hence why you cant get on to it now... ( look at the piccys and it will make sense... Any way on the day in question, a couple got stranded out on the island after the rock fell away, rescue services where called and the news helicopter was there filming them etc etc. However...they were being very unfriendly and hiding there faces and trying to get in the bushes not wanting to be filmed...later.. after being rescues it turned out they where married.. only not to each other!!!! They were on a dirty weekend away thinking they would go somewhere quiet.. like the Great ocean road!!.. haha.. well and truely caught out in front of the whole nation. Opps! I finally boarded the Plane from Melbourne and am happy as Larry in Perth with my Sisters God Parents... Sue and Sid!!.. Living it up in a lovely house in Clarkson, just on the outskirts of Perth, got my own room, bathroom etc... I'm in Heaven, its very much appreciated!!.. Going to be here till after Christmas.. going to try and get a job here to.. Will still be updating the site with place I've been etc, but for a while I do intend to slow down a bit!!
