As you can see decided on popping into Laos over the beaches of Thailand. But this place is pretty chilled and less developed than some of the other countries so thats always nice. Had some rather horrendous journeys here so far: an evil 9 hour boat trip in a overpacked wooden boat with no seats to Nong Kiew. And just the general nastiness of route 13 involving too many bends, armed hijackers and drivers going way too fast. all in all a rather unpleasant combination. Now in Vang Vieng; 'Friends' is evvverywhere! The canned laughter is starting to get rather annoying. But walking into a restaurant, picking a film and sitting down to enjoy both meal and film is pretty cool!
