Arriving in Bratislava was a bit of a shock to the system. There are huge concrete block apartments and as the Lonely Planet puts it ´a UFO lookalike bridge´, still, we wanted to give it a chance. Lake Balaton in Hungary is probably the most popular Hungarian holiday destination and in summer Iˇm sure it must be awesome. What did our last blog say about being happy campers? This morning Nad refused to start again, we tried to bump start him but we just didn´t have enough of a hill. Just come from the Christmas markets and two glasses of mulled wine later we decided it was time to update the website. It couldn´t be more Christmassy here the snow is falling outside and the trees are full of lights. We´re staying in a campsite on the outskirts of the city but now that we have Herbie the heater we are much happier campers.

We arrived to find Vienna covered in snow but the campsite was well and truly open despite being hidden under a foot of the white stuff.
