Sad to leave Madagascar but a new adventure awaits. First a 6 day stopover in the Seychelles. The area we stayed was high on a hill and we had no car - good exercise we thought. Didn't realise quite how steep those hills were.
We mainly explored the local beaches, downhill in the morning and a hard uphill in the afternoon with our noses nearly touching the tarmac. We were self-catering so shopping was done the same way!
Beaches in Seychelles are not allowed to be privatised so we used the beach at the 5* Four Seasons Hotel in the main. Although we were not allowed to use their sunbeds - Euro 65 per person per day for this luxury. However, the beach was just great as was the sea.
We cooked at "home" in the main and drank the local beer which we had carried up the hill from the local shop. We had two meals out at Maria's Hot Rock Cafe where we cooked our food on a pre-heated stone.
Otherwise a very relaxing few days with time to plan our first week in Bombay and catch up on laundry.
