Suddenly realised i am very far behind in the old bloggig so will make a concerted effort to update it.
Well Ihave left the station obviously and went back to Adelaide where it was very very cold However that did not stop the fun. i have had a great time re aquainting myself with the centeral market and television and the internet ( which i may have used slightly too much of - sorry Mel).
I have also had a few cultural expereinces. Firstly i spent a few nights down at Port Rickaby at Mark and mels cool caravan. I loved the caravan it was very vintage and cosy. It has been years since i went to a caravan so it was really cool. Port Rickaby is a bit of a strange little place in that the caravan site is all that is there, which is actually really nice. The beach is stunning and I watched the most amazing sunset one night as mark cooked the BBQ, ohh yeah and i saw a suspected shark!!!!! But dont worry it was way to cold for swimming so there was no danger of a Jaws moment. We also spent a few days jusrt driving out to other little sleepy fishsing towns which were all so cute and beautiful but I dont think i could live in them as not a lot seems to go on there. Still it was lovely to get away and I can totally see why mark and mel love to go down there to relax and drink wine.
My other cultural expereince is that i saw my first ever prostitute as i picked up Mark and Mel from the wedding.- I nearly crashed with horror!!!
Another quite amusing expereince I had this week was when Mel kindly took me out on west lakes in the Kayak. At this point i wish to assure any members of the British Kayak team that their places in the squad are secure as i was awfull at it. Its really hard becuase you have peddles with which to stear the rudder but as i have no upper body strenght my natural instinct was to try and peddle withthe peddles to go faster which led to lots of zig zaaging, splashing and running into people lovely floating decks. I came back looking like a drowned platypus and may as well have swam the lake. It was good fun though, and i got to see lots of very very nice houses.
It was sad to leave Adelaide behind as i do love the city but time to move on and i am now on my way up to cairns.... on the road again!
