Saturday, February 10: We've had a quiet week. Mostly rainy days have been more conducive to reading than anything else. Buzz and Max went on their tramping adventure on Thursday..a ten hour hike at Takapari near Dannevirke. The last part of it was in the rain. Buzz is either going to be very fit or unable to walk by the time we are ready to come home. He said the terrain was steep and rough, and he spent most of the day watching the ground to be sure he didn't trip over something. Sounds like loads of fun...yeah right. "Yeah right" is part of a national ad campaign by the makers of Tui beer here. There are billboards everywhere with short sayings followed by "yeah right". For example: "I was just reading the writing on her tee shirt...yeah right" or "I'll only watch the rugby for a minute...yeah right" You get the idea! We've been told there is a book of these sayings. I plan to buy it if I see it.

Wednesday, February 15: We have ahd a quiet week with a good deal of rain. Today we are packing up to go to the South Island for a week. Buzz, max and Rob will go tramping for 3 days, and the wives will do something smart like shop or sit by the sea and read books.
