6 March: Monday. We packed up the car, said "see you soon" to the Goldmans and headed north. Along the way we stopped in Geraldine to do a bit of shopping at Barker's which is famous for jams, jellies and fruit cordial mixes and at the Talbot Cheese factory store for some bleu cheese. We stayed the night in Timaru. 7 March: Tuesday. We awoke to a drizzle in Timaru, and the rain became steadier as we drove north. The Canterbury Plain area is not terribly scenic.....

14 February, Tuesday. This morning we headed south as the Tuckers set off for the East Cape and points north. It was so good to spend time with them. We had a relaxing drive and stopped in Norsewood where I got a New Zealand made Merino pullover and a Possum/Merino cardigan. I am preparing for cool weather on the South Island! 6 February : Monday. We took a drive to Pahiatua today to bring Margaret to meet her partner, John at his daughter's home. On the way back to Feilding we stopped at the greengrocer in Woodville.
