11 December: We did the last load of laundry, had a good night's sleep, son-in-law Jon brought us to the Manchester airport this morning, and we are on our way to an extended holiday in New Zealand. We've moved our departure up a day to avoid tomorrow's forecasted snow event.
Once again I'll post a weekly blog entry that I hope you'll enjoy. If you need to reach me, I will be checking email daily. Buzz and I wish everyone joy at the holidays and peace in the year ahead.

12 December: Manchester-Baltimore-St.Louis to Los Angeles yesterday with no snags. As our plane descended into LA around 7PM last night, the sea of auto headlights on the major highways made the gridlock painfully visible. It makes rush hour around Boston look like a fun outing! A short shuttle ride to our hotel, a light dinner, and early to sleep! We decided to just veg today in anticipation of our long flight to New Zealand tonight. The touristy things we could do for half the day really don't beckon.
