Sorry we haven't posted anything in a while. We've not done a lot and so didn't want to bore with everyday life...
We stayed in Maroubra for about 10days and we spent our time looking for jobs and went running and swimming in the rockpool most days and ventured to Coogee Beach a couple of times. We had a lot of fun.
After two fruit picking jobs falling through, we've finally managed to get a job that has worked out. Which is why we're now in Wycheproof (witch-y-proof). We are working in a bar in a hotel and a cafe. Terry, our boss, owns both of them. The cafe is the only one in Wycheproof and apparently for a long time on the highway so I think it gets good business. Last night we did our first shift in the bar. It seems to be a bunch of blokes come in and sit round the bar and drink and chat with some dancing making appearances later on in the night. For a small town though we were open until half 1 in the morning!
Wycheproof is in Victoria. We flew into Melbourne and stayed a night so we could sit our RSA (responsible service of alcohol) and then we got the train to Bendigo and a bus from Bendigo to Wycheproof. It has a population of approx. 800 people, a railway running through the middle of the main road (for cargo trains), has the worlds smallest registered mountain and apparently a rather good footy (aussi rules) team. We've put up a couple of photos and there will be more to come..
