Travel Blog of the Gaps
Hello again, Blogonauts! It's been a year. It has been a 12-month, mental-health-infused, music-enhanced marathon. Hopefully I never confused which one was the priority of the moment. But after a year, it's break time once again. Restraining my wanderlust for 52 weeks made simplifying the next journey too difficult. So a sojourner's stew is on the menu over the next 16 days, if you care to read along. First I'll spend 5 solo days in Germany's Rhine Valley. More details on that later. Then I will join up with Bob, Richard, Shawn, and Toby in Lisbon. We've booked a car to carry us all over northern Portugal for 11 days. But all journeys need a launching pad. And I'm writing now in Logan Airport as I await my flight to Frankfurt-am-Main (via Reykjavik) on WOW airlines. I keep trying to travel lighter and lighter, and for this trip I have limited myself to carry-on baggage. You can see my self-imposed luggage limit in the photos: a carry-on bag, a shoulder satchel, and a jacket. Logan is full of potential, but sparse on scenery. Future photos will no doubt be more spectacular. Stay tuned for the pics and some short travelogues. Blog to you later!
