I was up early and ready for the 0730 shuttle back to the airport - third time lucky with getting to Fiji!!!!!! As I was wandering towards reception to check out, my ears were assaulted by the screeching of a mad woman - none other than Lori Fay. She was effing and blinding at the reception staff and all because they had asked her if she had had anything from the mini-bar. Thankfully the family travelling with us with 2 small children were nowhere around. ...

Not much to report until I arrived at the airport ready to check in to go to Fiji. When I arrived at the counter it transpired that I did not have a ticket!!!!! The woman at Queenstown had taken the ticket for this leg of my trip as well by mistake, so I was stood at check in for ages while someone went off and checked the protocol. Well, what an interesting day!!! Arrived at Queenstown airport ready for my 3 flights, terminating in Nadi, Fiji. When I arrived at the airport I managed to check in and get my boarding passes for all my fllights, despite some flights being suspended due to the low cloud. However it was not long before all flights were postponed or cancelled and we were told to collect our bags. Once I had got mine I had to queue at customer services to re-book my flights...

Today Nic was up very early as she had to be at the train station for 0750 to get her bus to Christchurch. Being the nice person that I am I walked her to the bus and helped carry a bag!! Then back to the hotel for me, before heading back to Queenstown via Starbucks. Who knows if I'll see one before Canada now, although they were out of vanilla and caramel syrup, my 2 favourites.
