Zhengzhou & Guangzhou (Canton)
Zhengzhou was a quick overnight stop en-route to Hong Kong
As usual we got lost trying to find the hotel, but we were really lucky that the locals are the friendliest we had come across so far and we were taken part of the way by one young couple before a group of students took pity on us and after making some calls got us into a cab (instructing the driver on the max price!) and sent us to the door!
From Zhengzhou to Guangzhou we took another sleeper train (17hrs!!).Al had packed some traditional Chinese 'goodies' called moon cakes, they were gross! (see the piccy).
Guangzhou was a nice place, but Al managed to get ill on some dodgy grub, which we reckon was the night market food (the meat was suspect and after careful inspection looked like heart including valves (I feel ill again typing this!).
