Sorry we have not updated this sooner but the main reason we havent is due to the fact that we wrote a new entry and the stupid computer we were on decided to switch off... thus wiping the message and we were so angry that the blog has been on the back burner! Anyway a bottle of red vino down and we feel we can conquer the blog to update you to our recent movements - there has been quite a lot! So where did we leave you... ah yes lovely Bonito... or should we ...

We are now in Bonito after spending 4 days getting back to nature in the Pantanal! We organised a tour of the Pantanal when we arrived in Campo Grande and were soon on the jeep bumping down the sandy pot holed roads to the farm where we would be staying. Whilst we were there we morning trekked, evening trekked, went piranha fishing, ate piranhas, river trips, swam with piranhas and caiman (alligators!), waded through mud swamps up to our knees, went horse riding...

So after a relaxing stay on Ilha Grande including a trip to Lopez Mendez we jumped on a cargo-esque style fishing boat for 1/4 of thé price and began the journey back to the mainland. Once there we jumped on another bus to take the 2hour trip to Paraty only this time the bus wasnt a reclining seat job but more like a rigid seat - feel every bump - yellow bus but we managed to cram ourselves into the seats with our backpacks and sit tight till we reached our dest...

So after some dancing in the street samba style, singing ´copa-copa-cobana´ along... you guessed it... the Copacobana and a crazy brazlian local derby footie match at the Maracana we busted out of the city and into paradise! After a shaky start with city life we ended up loving Rio and were really sad to leave the craziness of hundreds of brazilians dancing to the sound of a few beats of a drum in the street, the amazing beauty of the coastline, the beach hot...

Boa Noite! Since visiting Christ we have been up and about getting to grips with city life! Tuesday evening we sampled the delights of a live Reggea band night in Lapa, landing ourselves a free CD - so now Sven can perfect some of the dance moves he picked up (and they dont involve the German hand movements - yey!!) As yesterday was still a sunny day we headed down to Ipanema beach for a sunbathe amongst the brazilian hotties! Yes boys the bikini's were smal...
