Hi!
So I will be leaving Sydney in 2 weeks. I shall be getting the Greyhound bus from here up to Byron Bay, spending a night there then meeting Rich in Noosa. We have a kyaking and camping trip booked for three nights. We'll then be heading up to a place called Rainbow beach, near there is a place called Tin Can Bay, you can get there early in the morning and buy fish to feed the wild Dolphins. I can't wait to see them!!
After that we have a 4 wheel drive tour of Fraser island and will be camping for 2 nights. The only time I have camped has been at a festival, so this will be a whole new experience for me......or as Laura and Lyn would say....a whole new animal!
We also have trips booked for Whitsunday islands, we'll be sailing around for 3 days and then up to Cairns for a scuba dive on the Great barrier reef, then Cape Tribulation and Port Douglas.
We're then heading back down to Townsville and getting a ferry to Magnetic Island for a full moon party on the 28th October. It's been a bit of a pain as we obviously can't control the moon so have had to base our trip around this date. So we're doing it a bit higgledy piggledy, but life would be boring if we kept things simple!
After all that we will be flying down to Melbourne. Spend a few days in the city and St Kilda then we'll hire a car and drive the Great Ocean road. Rich will the be ditching me and heading back to London whilst I will be looking for a job and place to live in Melbourne.
The weather is starting to pick up here now, its getting into spring and the temperature is already getting up to 24 degrees with Saturday predicted to be 27! So off to the beach we go!
I've been feeling a bit sad this week, had some bad news from home, it's hard being here when I wish I could be with my family. It's also not nice when my friends have stuff going on that I can't be there for. My three musketeers - Rich, Nikki and Jacob all left me this week so was feeling even more sorry for myself. But we've made some really good friends here so they've been looking after me :-)
2 weekends ago we met up with Lauren and Liam who we met in Darwin, we'd arranged to meet up for drinks on the friday evening but me, Nikki and Jacob were walking around the Botanic gardens and who do we bump into....Lauren and Liam! The gardens are huge so to be at the same place at the same time was funny! Was lovely to see them and compare stories of what we've been up to since leaving Darwin. Shane, our old roomie came back for a short visit and now Jordan is back for the weekend, we'll be heading out tonight for his birthday.
The next time I update I promise I will have left Sydney.......I love it here and it's easy to see why people spend so much of their time here. But I am looking forward to moving on and expiriencing some more of Oz.
Much love to you all xxxxx
