Thursday - Drove into Tirau. I got an icecream and then we were on our way to Rotorua. Stayed at the same motel as 4 years ago. Then we found a sweater for Mormor. We went into the Maori village for a while and watched the gyser explode. Then had a beautiful dinner at the restaurant at the motel. I had a quick swim in the pool before bed. 

Tuesday - We picked Mormor and Morfar up from the airport after their south island trip. 

Sunday - We drove up to Miranda and we went to an information centre where I bought a stuffed pukeko in a box. We went on a little walk where we saw billions and billions of little crabs scuttling around on the rocks. Then we walked a little further. We saw lots and lots of cockal shells piled on top of each other. We walked a little further and saw billions of birds swirling in the air. Most of them were pied oyster catchers with herons. Then we went to Miranda ...

Saturday - We went to a shop called Candyland where I bought giant coke bottles. 

Monday - We dropped Mormor and Morfar at the airport so they could take the tour of the South Island. Mom and I went for a walk at the University and watched a very pretty sunset with lots of pink.
