Went to Myakka state park yesterday for a quick look round. Very good, plenty of walks over vast distances, canoe hire, bike hire, a little canopy walk and an air boat ( see photos). Saw wild turkeys, various other birds and a massive 'gator lurking just a few feet from some wading fishermen ( did not stop around to see the ensuing fun) The dock men have just fixed the boat lift up for the new boat which is due in about an hour, good timing.
