It's so nice to have a short drive for once! It only took us about 3.5hrs to travel between the Canyon and Lake Powell. After checking-in, we drove out to Lower Antelope Canyon which is part of the Navajo Indian Reservation. Here we took a bumpy jeep ride out to these amazing Slot Canyons in the desert. We started the day with a 25mile drive to Desert View, where there is a watch tower which was completed in 1932 and designed by the Architect Mary Colter, who was one of very few female Architects working at the time. Colter actually designed and built many of the famous structures on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, including Hermit's Rest.
