Well now we have hit the Real Australia! Sydney was beautiful, but in esscence you could be anywhere. But now we were headed into the bush, on the first legs of our Ox Experince trip. Our first stop was Barrington Tops, where it was bloody freezing! Ok when the sun was up, but as soon as that baby dissapeared, it was just a wee bit nippy! So we obviously did the most sensible thing....jump in a single kayak, then into a freezing river, then over some white w...

Sydney Baby! I have hit Australia, and first port of call is Sydney, Australia's capital in all but name. I will try and keep this brief cos i don't want to ramble! Basically, this is a gorgeous place...for a city! It isn'y typically Australian, but it is so clean, and has some postcard landmarks of course! And then there's the weather! I am here in their equivalent of November and there is not a cloud in the sky, and its about 22 degrees. I might move here ...

Finally, after 6 weeks on the road, we reached our final destination, Singapore. Unfortunately i was only staying here for one night, so didn't get to see maybe as much as i'd like, but still had a good laugh! The hostel we stayed at was really cool and modern, with funky rooms and free internet! Always a bonus. In the evening we had to do the righful thing, and head down to the famous Raffles hotel for a Singapore Sling cocktail, however ridiculously expens...

And so we arrived in Kuala Lumpur, the sprawling modern metropolis that is the capital of Malaysia. This city is ceratinly a cut above all the others we've been to in terms of its westernization, and advanced culture! It felt so good when we got there, ad indulged in a pizza hit lunch, and found our first pint of Strongbow! Although it did cost over 4 quid! It tatsed bloody marvellous though. It is also a shoppers paradise, and i finally had to give in and trea...

As we headed south into Malaysia, the weather was certainly becoming a lot more tropical, as was the countryside, with us driving through spectacular rainforest mountain scenery to get to the island of Penang. Obviuosly for a place to be this lush and green, it was starting to rain a bit more regularly...and very heavily! What you notice on Penang when yo arrive is how much more foreign influence there was here as opposed to the rest of Asia, such as large c...
