re: Day Two - getting to Mui NeWill Event to train for needed. I'm thinking another half marathon should do it. Fancy signing up for the Marlow Half Marathon in November? http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/events/viewevent.asp?sp=&v=2&EN=64278&ms= I'd train for this :-)
re: Siem Reap, CambodiaHelena Great post - but it gives me a perfect opportunity to say I told you so....you should have bought a kindle.
re: Phnom Penh, CambodiaK Sounds like an adventure of a lifetime (or perhaps only one of many more adventures to come!)
re: The Highways of Sabah, MalaysiaGuess who? All you need is a pair of shorts and flipflops. Hopefully you wore those on the plane!
re: 26 July 2011Guess who? I thought we said no facial hair. Hopefully you're at;teast clipping the ones in your nose!!
re: 24 July 2011Peter Stannard yes Tom, I agree that it is a nice airport. had the King Not changed the name of the airport to subarnabhumi, its old name would have been translated as Snake Swamp as that is what it used to be. The only problem with the airport is that it is a very long way to walk from where the plane arrives to the arrivals desk. Did you enjoy being photographed by the 'martian' like camera. I hope you had a good time in Thailand. I just love it there
re: Bangkok, ThailandWill H "I've started to ride my life a little less and steer it a bit more." That is never going to get old TN. You are still Newtonising over there. Darts sounds amazing. Legends abound. They will undoubtedly never forget you either mate!
re: Gracie Kelly's Utterly UnIrish Irish Bar, Bali, IndonesiaWill H The Beard hath spoken. A 6ft5 bearded beast claims with all the confidence of Patrick Swayze in Point Break to know a thing or two about surfing after being taught by a flu suffering local. Do you question his validity, or do you consider that even sans 7lbs, he still packs enough to flatten you into the ground, and the beard just makes it more likely he's in the Hell's Angels. As C3PO said to R2D2, "Just let the Wookie win".
