I thought I may be time to give another update on my travels, since my last entry Ive been to Romania and im now in Bulgaria. Its peeing it down outside so ive sought refuge in an internet cafe.

A couple of days ago I went to Bran castle, aka the home of Dracula. It wasnt quite what I expected. Not nearly as gothic and scary, still it was nice and there was quite a pretty village round it. Plus it was really good weather.

Romania itself seems to be trying to be modern but there are something which are really holding it back. Mainly the currency; if you get out too much currency from an atm you cant change it back. You must get a local to do it for you and even so they can only change a max of 160 dollar a year. Another real big pain inthe arse is i couldnt use and ATM, with both debit cards. With that I was stuck to buyin money off people there.


There was quite a bit goin on in Bucharest while I was there though. In the afternoon/evening there was an outdoor concert/rave with DJ Tiesto there. It was ok for half an hour but theres only so much dance you cant take. Later met up with another aussie and headed to a local bar where we got chattin to a ber tender who showed us some pretty cool lookin cocktails.

Next stop its plovdiv then to Thessaloniki then Xanthi in greece. I hope the bloody rain stops!
