Tom's Round The World Adventure.
I met Amy at 12.30pm on Saturday, and we drove down to Koroit which is a few towns away to go to the Irish Festival, although neither of us have anything remotely to do with Ireland! At best the whole event was strange...... and having to pay $10 entrance fee was not the best start to my day. After an hour walking round amongst the hundreds of 5 year old children, we thought we had finally found a spot where kids wouldnt be which was watching a street peformer called 'Arizona Jones' who liked to think he was Indiana Jones second cousin, oooooook. He pulled Amy and I from the crowd to help with his final stunt, the big finish if you will, much to my amusement he wanted me to hold a rope to support a 15ft pole he was going to stand on and juggle fire, he couldnt of picked anyone weaker, haha. I felt a bit sick when he chose the other people to hold the other 2 ropes, as as far as i could see they were 90 year old pensioners who were on day release from there old peoples home and could barely hold a cup of tea and custard cream biscuit let alone a 15 stone American! So Arizona began his stunt and asked if he could trust me with his life as he was standing on a 15ft pole, i panicked and said yes, luckily it went ok. Amy's job was to throw the fire sticks up to the d**khead on the pole, he was sweating so much, and for me and my pensioner friends who were stood directly below him, it felt like it was raining, which at the time was quite refreshing. Amy did very well throwing the sticks up although one did come straight back at her and almost knocked her out. Due to me remaining professional and focused the stunt went well, but due to my co-rope holders in-capability and in-competance my arms felt like s**t for the rest of the day. After leaving the Irish Festival we heading to the near by National Park which awesome! As soon as we drove in through the main gates i was seeing wildlife that i have never seen before, and it really took my breath away. We soon decided to ditch the car and go by foot, and Amy decided to go down the footpath that said 'Strictly No Entry' i thought i would just roll with it, i am really glad i did as i got some unbelievable photographs of Kangeroos (I got scared as they looked like they were going to kick my f**king head in!) and Koalas and various other animals, i really cant describe it, it was just amazing. After a few hours Bush walking Amy wanted to go and introduce me to her parents and sister, but after a day of sneaking through bush's and lying in mud, just so i could get the perfect photo, i thought i should probably shower first. Headed back to my house to get cleaned up and then drove over to Amy's parents house to meet the family. Wow, what a beautiful house! Her parents have quite alot of land so they have a few horses, and i honestly didnt think i would still be allergic to them, but low and behold after introducing myself to her Mum and Dad and saying hello to the horses, my lips and eyes began to swell to twice there nomal size! I went inside to grab a glass of water and met Amy's sister Kimmy, i have never met anyone so naturally beautiful in my life! Amy has sent me photos over the last year or so, but face to face Kim is absolutely stunning. Then my eyes started to water due to my reaction with the horses, so i thought it was time to leave before her family saw me crying, they seemed like great people so i hope i meet them again. Amy and I then drove to her house where she cooked spaghetti which was such a nice traet as i had not had a decent meal for over a week, when it got to abou 9pm she had to drive me home as i had only had 12 hours sleep in 6 days and i couldnt keep my eyes open!
On Sunday 30th April i made plans with Tim and his girlfriend to go for lunch, everyone in the pub laughed at me when i asked for bangers and mash, they seemed to find it even funnier when i asked for a bottle of Fosters! Apparently nobody drinks that over here, i dont care, its the only beer i drink! After lunch we drove to Port Fairy which is a near by town, Myself and Tiffany had a drink but Tim had a big chocolate dessert as he had been wanting one all day! The Cafe we sat in was literally on the beach and had spectacular views, the surf was amazing. We drove round for the rest of the afternoon and checked out other beach's, all amazing as each other. Tiffany went home about 6pm as she had work the next day, so Tim and I went back to our place and he cooked steak and chips, i like mine well cooked, although the meat was as red as Tims wine i was still so grateful for having a cooked meal infront of me! I had not had an alcoholic drink for nearly i week, so i bought myself some smirnoff ice, after half a dozen of them i was out cold for the rest of the night!
